Gardens & GONHS Promote the Environment

UKOTCF Talk

The Director of the Gibraltar Botanic Gardens was recently asked to deliver a talk at the ‘Sustaining Partnerships’ conference that was held in Gibraltar by the United Kingdom Overseas Territories Conservation Forum (UKOTCF).  Dr Keith Bensusan gave his talk on behalf of the botanic gardens and the Gibraltar Ornithological & Natural History Society (GONHS).  The talk was entitled ‘Promoting the Natural Environment in Small Territories: Gibraltar as a Case Study’.  It summarised the work that is carried out by both GONHS and the Gibraltar Botanic Gardens in order to educate the public on the natural environment, including outreach initiatives and environmental programmes of activities for children.
